Lillies too Tall. Any way to keep them short?

I love my Lillies. I have a variety of colors. My one problem is there size. My Lillies are right around three foot tall. After they bloom, I just have a flower bed of tall green stems. Is there any way to keep them short? The stems take away from my Roses and my Dahlais.

I doubt it. I think a re-appraisal of their position and association with other plants will be needed.

Hmm. I don't know about shortening them. I don't think lilies would respond well to being pruned. May I suggest moving them to a different flower bed where they will compliment your flowers, and bring in lower growing lilies like lilium 'red carpet' (asiatic), these are red but I have seen them yellow, pink, and orange. These will only get about half the height your's are now.
