what is this growing in my garden

good morning all

I have a problem , so I am cleaning up this old garden and I discovered this thing growing everywhere inside the designated space , I don't know what it is and hard to dig up to get rid of the roots , can you tell me if its a flower or garbage plant. it is extremely invasive. I live in Kitchener,Ontario Canada . what zone I am in , don't know

see pic that I provided maybe you can help me contain this thing or I will have to give up on making this garden a real one.

thank you

Looks like Lily of the Valley to me.

is there a way to remove the ones that grow everywhere and keep them contained?

If is Lily of The Valley..it can be a devil to keep confined.
Just continual digging out I’m afraid.
I grow mine in a large pot!
The scent is to die for though.
