Crackerjack Mixed Colors Marigolds

I planted 6 Marigold seeds on Feb.18.2016 and there are seedlings coming up already! I only planted 6 because the pot is not the biggest and I thought maybe I could transplant them into different pots when they get big enough. Will let you know about the progress.

Should be pretty, but marigolds are not perennials.... They readily reseed themselves though. When I was in Ohio, new marigolds would pop up later in the season, but the seeds would not make it though the winter, so even by re-seeding, they did not manage to come back the next year. In warmer climates, they probably would.

Ive actually had them reseed them selfs here in Sweden last year, didnt get many plants but a few. But I harvested most seeds as well. They did dry out in their pods tho and being on the plant above ground ensure they survived? I guess.

I plant crackerjack to control nematodes. Usually I harvest the seeds to replant so it normally does not reseed on its own.
