Damaged bulb!

Hi everyone! This afternoon, when I was digging to plant new bulbs, I accidentally cut with my shovel a hyacinth bulb that was already in place  . It's not totally separated in half but the cut was quite deep. When stuff like that happens, would you guys say that the bulb will live on or is it gonna die?

I'm looking forward to hear from you. Thanks!!!

No, I didn't separate the 2 parts and the cut was vertical so let's hope it's gonna be fine :) Thanks for answering so quickly, I was wondering if I was gonna buy some more because I don't have a lot of hyacinthus... They smell so good!! I'm looking forward to see them multiply but that kind of flower doesn't seem to be in a hurry compared to tulips.
