really hoping this isn't a weed

I have this plant growing in my rockery part of my Little Welsh Garden, and I am hoping it is not a weed as there are quite a lot of them

mainly I am "bumping" your post, since you didn't get an answer, trying to make sure more people see it. We have a couple regulars around here who are very good on plant ID's if they see it. If you don't get an answer, I suggest re-posting your picture and question in the Plant Identification section under Gardening Etcetera https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=52 . There is is most likely to catch the eye of some of the people who like the challenge of figuring out what something is.

There are two different plants in the focus of the picture. I assume you are talking about the larger one with the roundish-oval leaves, not the smaller, lighter colored one with the pointed leaves?
