I was wondering if a Sun Parasol (giant white) would cause any damage to a brick house wall?
I like vines on walls etc but I'm trying to choose some that won't cause any damage.

You are somewhere with warm winters? Mandevilla is a tropical that won't survive cold winter.
It climbs by tendrils. That is good news/ bad news. Good news, it doesn't have suckers which would damage brick. Bad news, it can't climb brick, because it needs to have something it can wrap the tendrils around.
I think you are always better off growing vines up trellises in front of a house wall, not up the house wall. Even if the vine itself doesn't damage the wall, it holds water and keeps the wall moist. And your mandevilla needs trellis to climb.
