Muhly Grass

I have 3 muhly grass plants in small containers I want to plant together at least 3' apart. The tag recommends sun to part shade. If this area only gets about 3hrs. of full sun & mainly partial shade, will the plants do well? Want to plant them in at least 2 days. zone 8

I have a pink muhly grass in a large container in an area that gets very limited direct sun and it has thrived.
