Red flower id

This red flower has recently appeared in one of my borders. Not sure if it is a plant or weed?

Can't really see the leaves of this flower on the photo. Surrounding leaves are Geranium, Allium and Delphinium.

Not a weed! It is either a Potentilla or a Geum. Cannot tell without the leaves but pretty sure the former.
