What are these flowers?

They return every year because they reseed themself. They make lots of seeds I have 2 quart jars full of seeds. The flowers are loaded with bees.

The leaves reminded me of this one and I thought the article I originally saw these in said it had hibiscus-like flowers. Can't find the article now, but it was about hibiscus- like flowers on cotton and okra, and I think this plant:

But when I looked for regular/non variegated tapioca/cassava plants in bloom, the leaves seem to match, but the flowers didn't look anything like yours, so I tried the scientific name and came across this. The flowers look the same, but the leaves don't match?
