Calla Lily

Got a question. I have an area outside my house where the condensation from my AC unit drips, so the soil is always wet there. I read calla lily like wet areas. Would this be OK? It would get sun from around 10am to 5 or 6. I live in Houston, so it's pretty hot here.

If not them, any other suggestion?

They'd probably love it, so long as there's a bit of shade.

How much shade do they need? The closer I plant them to my house, the more shade they will have. I'd say the best I could do would be direct sunlight from around 1130-12 to around 5 or 6.

That should be OK, but before you plant them permanently, ease them into the sun over a week or two. That way you'll avoid sunburning the leaves.

I'm in Zone 5, but it's really hot here right now. My daughter's sitter has her callas in full sun. I, on the other hand, have my in a shady area until evenings, under the window with the air conditioner. Both of ours are doing well. I don't think they're all that picky.
