Happy with Perennials this year

Wanted to post some pics because a lot of my flowers I have either raised from seeds or bought bare root to save money when I was landscaping my house, and this is the first year where I have really gotten to see the things bloom. Except I still don't have good luck with azaleas and rhodos.

Very pretty! If you don't have good luck with azaleas and rhododendrons, it may be that your soil is not acid enough for them. Try using an acidifying fertilizer designed for azaleas.

I am very happy with my little asiatic lily, this is the first time it has bloomed and it was put here by a squirrel who thought he would remember and come back to eat, thank goodness he forgot about it so here it is in all its glory, one question, do they rebloom later or not? :-()

John
You should be very pleased....looks lovely!!! Nice variety and plants look excellent!

I did the same this year to fill in garden to left of my driveway and started perennial garden in my back yard. Am hoping for results as good as yours, Some were barefoot or 6" starters like butterfly bush Wrigley etc

where did you buy your starter perennials and barefoot? And you planted them spring or fall and got this resultthis year? Can't tell what some plants are...care to specify?

In particular what is lovely pink booming plant near fence (last photo) with grassy like leaves (next to last photo)?

The pink flowered plant in the last photo is hollyhock. It doesn't have grassy leaves, it has big round scalloped leaves.

The plant in the next to the last photo with grassy leaves and tall flower spikes is red hot poker.
