Will my perennial plugs survive ?

Hi again folks. I have some questions on some perennial plugs. Some that I have not potted up yet were healthy 2 weeks ago- The tops did get grey mould as a result. The roots should be fine though I think ? If I remove the top mould on the surface of the plug will they come back ? They look good when taken out of the plug tray the roots.

We are talking about well known perennials. I would pot them up immediately.

Thanks.

Be careful not to damage the 'eyes' on the crown. If careful, I would think that cleaning the tops up should be o.k. And I agree with the up potting. Mine immediately go into one gallon nursery pots for the first season.

Hi thanks for your answer. There is no top growth at all on the top. No tiny shoots or signs of growth- new eyes or anything unfortunately. I am hoping that the roots will still send up something new.

I have never had flowering perennial plugs before.

Thanks !

sorry if I am repeating myself.
