What fertilizers/when to use on Gardenias (and others)

Hi! I bought a gardenia for the first time and read they are pretty difficult to get them to bloom. Will it bloom this season since I planted it a month ago? I don't see any buds. Also, I have a granular azalea/rhododendron fertilizer, and then a liquid Miracle grow fertilizer I use on my roses...can I use both of them and how often would you apply them? I should have tested my soil first..I just used one of those home kits and it said our soil is about 6.5 I believe. Should I be adding something else toot o acidify the soil? I also have azaleas and rhododendrons nearby, though I've never done anything to the azaleas besides used the granular fertilizer and they've bloomed well. Thanks!

Lowe's carries Espoma acid loving fertizler. Gardenia bloom at different times. Do an Internet search to see when your blooms.
