Flowering shrubs for mostly shade?

I posed a similar question elsewhere, but I want to plant a long row of shrubs as a low hedge along our property line with the neighbors. I would love something that flowers, but the issue is sun exposure. I think that side gets mostly shade along most of it, maybe part sun on a little bit of that side. What would you recommend for something that wouldn't grow more than 2-3 ft high?

Well, I think I might have found an answer...what about Dwarf Yaupon Holly or Japanese Holly? I think the Yaupon looks a bit nicer..more green and redder berries. Any thoughts?

You might want to look at potentilla. Katheryne Dykes. Yellow bloom all summer and they lose leaves in the fall. Even azaleas might work.

These may be a possibility
Google:
- Pieris "Cavatine"......small with white flowers
-Rhododendron "Chionoides"....small to medium with white flowers
-Rhododendron "Yakusianum" small with several varieties with different colors
-Skimmia japonica.....small white flowers

There are dwarf hydrangeas and dwarf viburnums that should work for you as well as azaleas and dwarf kalmia (mountain laurel). The azaleas and kalmia need acid soil and are evergreen.
