coffee grounds

I have a local coffee shop saving coffee grounds for me now, but my dilemma is I don't know the best plants to put these around.

I think hydrangeas, azaleas, rhodo's; but didn't know if there were others or if there were any vegetables that also liked them.

I have also heard of putting banana peels around roses, anyone know anything on this?

I wonder how coffee would be for watering new plants ! Would it work like manure tea in a milder form. Has anyone tried it?

I'm going to direct you to this on-going thread and lock this one so same information is not posted simultaneously and useful information doesn't get lost due to being posted in one and not the other.
