Repotting a geranium

I have a citronella scented geranium about 20 inches tall in a 6.5 inch pot. It is very wobbly and the stem is becoming woody up until about 2 inches above the soil. Can I repot it and plant the trunk deeper into the soil, or will it just rot and I'll lose my plant? I have rootone if that helps. Thank you

Hello Franco. it's time to repot your geranium. The new pot should be a minimum
of two more inches in diameter. Do not plant the trunk deeper in the soil. You can use
Rootone if it has a dilution rate for transplanting. Remember that geraniums want
moist, well-drained soil. Take care.
