Well here goes it... My first post on this site. I am really starting to enjoy planting perennials and already have grown to love a few. I am very much in love with taller perennials which brings me to this question...
I live in Southern Wisconsin and earlier this year I purchased a bunch of Russell Lupine seeds. I put them right into the ground at the very end of April. They are really starting to do very well with big leaves really starting to show up. Will they still bloom this year or is it getting too late? It seems as if they are getting bigger and bigger by the day... I just don't see any flower stalks yet... Thanks for the help.
Edit: Here are a few pics showing their current progress as of July 26th.

Here in northern ohio lupines have two blooming seasons...spring/early summer and then late summer/early fall. The first blooming is the best.
I planted young plants last spring, but didnt' get any blooms until this year. it was worth waiting for, as they were beautiful.
Your plants look very healthy, but I would guess they will bloom next spring.
