Help me with my Kingfisher daisies please...

Have two small king fisher daisy plants. They get dried out spots in the plants. I will remove most of the dried/dead foliage, including new bud shoots that dried up and died. A friend of mine has a mature Kingfisher Daisy and she said hers does the same thing. Anyone have anyclue? Is this normal or do I need to do something. It is still blooming but there are almost gaps in the plants of where I removed dry plant.
