Hi, A friend of mine has offered me some lillies from his yard. He said they are giant ones that grow about 5 feet tall and that so far this year, they have emerged about 2 feet. can they be moved now? or do I have to wait until after they have bloomed?
Thanks for your help!

If you move them now, it is likely to disrupt their cycle so that they do not bloom this year. They would probably survive it and bloom next year.
If you have to move them, dig the biggest "root ball" around them you can and dig plenty deep and take lots of dirt. Maybe then they won't notice so much that they've been disturbed!
