Mystery Bulb Time! :) Can You ID?

I haven't been in these parts in a while, but I'm hoping to be back much more now that spring is here and I've got some more time to get outside!

My dad recently purchased an old house in Michigan, and he's been cleaning up the garden beds and adding to them.

A friend of my mom's sent along a huge box of bulbs from her garden- mostly daffodils and tulips, but spread among them were these:

At the time, I thought they might be hyacinth bulbs, but now they've come up- (this is what they looked like as of May 1st, zone 5.

We haven't been able to get an ID, and any help would be great. Thanks so much! :)

Oh dear, seems this is well and truly a mystery then? No one has any thoughts? Thanks for allowing me the attempt anyway! :)

Looks like you and all of us will need to wait for the flowers. There are so *many* bulb flowers! Hyacinths, crocus (but it may be too late for them), tulips, daffodils, narcissus, for starters, and then the tubers as well: tuberous begonias, irises....

I told my dad I thought that might be the case! Hopefully he'll send me photos so the mystery can be solved- I'll post here once it's bloomed. :) Thank you!!

Those plants don't look familliar. I want to say they are chives but I don't really know. You coud check out online mail order sites for bulbs and see if any of the listed plants look like the one you have.

OK, Here are my thoughts. Didn't post earlier, hoping someone else would know for sure....

1) The "bulbs" look like lily corms
2) The leaves, the way they are slightly cupped, strappy and spread out to hug the ground makes me think "Spider lilies"
3) I did get a hit on google images that have similar leaves and white flowers.

Thanks guys!

I THINK I've solved the mystery. They're coming out to be purple, and have a globe/cluster of small flowers. I haven't seen photos yet, but my dad's planning on sending some soon. All I have for now is his description.

I'm fairly certain they're a variety of Allium! I'll confirm once I get photos. :)
