Purple flower ID (photo)

This was found in the woods in Virginia, zone 7. Any idea what it is?

EDIT: Not sure if this will help any, but it was found near water along an abandoned deer trail.

Clitorea ternatea! would be my guess.

Thanks for the tip! I checked for that genus in the USDA plant database to see if there's anything similar, and it found a native plant called clitoria mariana that grows in this area. Here's a photo Google found me of the species:

Looks similar, doesn't it?
