One of my Iris is producing a seed (yea!). How do I know when it's done? Do I cut it off & plant it? If so when? Or will it fall when it's done?
This is my first time with Iris' so I have no idea what to do. Any tips are appreciated!

Yes. Let it ripen fully before harvesting the seeds. As long as the pod is brown, you don't have to wait for it to crack open. I've never actually tried to plant the seeds on purpose, but I've had some volunteer on their own because I normally leave the heads on thru the winter. If you're going to plant them, someone else might know the particulars better (depth, soil temp, etc) Good luck!!
