Hello, I planted a 3 Gallon Maiden grass 2 weeks or so ago and this is the first day that it has gotten extreme hot sun. I'm in zone 6...the grass has dried out and no longer has that nice green appearance to it. What do I do? Do I water it more (I've watered it almost daily)? Do I trim the grass to the ground again? Help!!!!!

Thanks....

Water only about every 3 days, plants can drown, but in the evening you can spray the leaves after a hot day so the plant can breathe. I don't know about cutting back it could take some stress off the plant so see what others say.

Ok, I will reduce the amount of water I give it. I have been watering my grasses daily.

I won't cut the grass back unless I get more suggestions to do so.

Thanks, Bullthistle.
