Moving tulip and grape hyacinth bulbs
I planted several groupings of tulip & grape hyacinth bulbs last fall, which bloomed beautifully this spring. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry when I planted them, & now realize they're in a terrible spot (between some evergreen shrubs that will soon crowd them out). It's now June, & the tulips have reached the point where their foliage is completely dried out. The grape hyacinths are still green with plump seed pods. I'd like to move them all while I can still see where they're planted. Should I simply dig up the bulbs & store them somewhere until the fall? (If so, where should I store them & how). Or, can I just replant them in a new location now? (& If so, do I fertilize now or wait until fall?) Thanks for ANY advice!
