Rabbits Destroyed My Honeysuckle

They just cut it right at the ground. Since this is a second year plant will it recover pretty quick to cover my 8 foot trellis? What can I do to stop this next year? Wrap chicken wire around the base or something? Man these rabbits are p*ssing me off, first my raspberries then my roses and now my honeysuckle, I've never had rabbits do so much damage before.

I think honeysuckle is pretty tough to kill, should be fine.

Just noticed they got my forsythia too, wow I hate these things.
