Weak Pinks (Dianthus)

Dear All,
I have 2 clumps of Pinks, and although they seem quite happy, the flower stalks don't seem to be able to support more than 1 flower, otherwise they end up trailing on the ground. Should I stake them, or is there anything I can give them to strenghen the stalks?

Thank You

I would experiment. It is either lacking something, like phosphorus or gettting too much moisture. If you could take the soil to be tested that might prove a solution. County extension office.

I did a search on your subject and your complaint is common. I would prune them to keep them short so they can hold up the flowers.
