Unidentified Plant

Dear All, I am new to this forum and am a very inexperienced gardener. I inherited my plant and its pot, when I moved into my house. It flowered last year, died back and came again this year (which is why I think it is a perennial). The flowers are similar in shape to a bluebell, but are a beautiful dusky pink in colour. The leaves are 4 leaf clover in shape with a brown/purple centre. Please ignore the unidentified bush in the link, I have posted on thr Shrub Forum also.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, Duncan, from another European! I believe your plant is Oxalis tetraphylla (syn. deppei). I´m not sure about the common name in English, but I believe it might be called Good Luck Shamrock.

Solveig, Thank you for your reply. I have just checked my book on flowers, and I think you might be right. Did you recognize it from the photos or the description? The plant is doing extremely well without my help, but it is nice to know what I am growing. :D
