New England Aster (Aster novae-angliae)

Hi
I recently came across a newly growing New England Aster plant that was leftovers from a big garden (it was an extra). Anyway I don't have any place to put it in my garden outside. I was wondering if possible how do I grow this plant in a pot? What soil do I use and how much do I water it? Do I remove any dead leaves?
Thanks

You mean indoors? since you mentioned not having a place outside. I don't think the issue is so much the pot. A large container outside should be fine. Just don't baby it too much; it's a wildflower. But indoors seems very problematic. It's a full sun plant and that's hard to duplicate indoors. And of course it is going to go dormant for the winter and needs the cold dormancy.
