New England Heather Experts?

Hey all,

I'm looking to grow some heather and was wondering if anyone in the area had any experience with growing it outside its native habitat. I'm in North East Massachusetts, USA.

I understand it needs well-drained acidic soil which I am pretty sure that I can provide by making a planter box for it. However beyond this I could use any tips you're willing to provide.

As a side note, I found reference to a "Rock Spray" nursery in Truro, MA but I can't seem to find a web presence anymore. Anyone know if they still exist?
