Heliconias: Which survive in cooler than tropical climates?

Sat Jul 18, 2009 6:43 am

Hi

I would love to have some Heliconias, but I hear that they like tropical or at least fully sub-tropical climates. I live in an area that's just borderline sub-tropical, or warm-temperate - a smidge too cool for most Heliconias, apparently.

Are there any varieties which are more likely to cope here than others?

Thanks :)
