Hello there -
This variety of plant grows wild up here (MN). I found this one in the grass outside my house, and several of them growing in the grass in a park as well. I thought it was silver mound - same silvery color, and soft texture - but the leaf shape is different. Any clues? Thanks a bunch!
(And the darn BB code isn't working for me again (), so here are the links.)

I'm not positive, but I think you may have common ragweed. The University of Michigan Extension describes it as:
"Leaves deeply lobed, fern-like, alternate, leaves and stems densely white, hairy; flowers small yellowish-green, separate male and female flowers on same plant; seeds small, crown-shaped."
There is a picture of it on their site at https://www.extension.umn.edu/distribution/cropsystems/DC1350.html
There is a better image of it [url=https://blogs.phillyburbs.com/news/bct/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/ragweed_common.jpg]here[/url], IMO.
Again, I'm not positive that's what your plant is, but it looks like it to me.

Thanks Kisal,
That photo does look a bit like it, but the description doesn't sound like it. I looked up another photo of common ragweed ([url]https://weeds.cropsci.illinois.edu/images/Common%20ragweed/images/Common%20ragweed%20vegetative%20plants.jpg[/url]) and that definitely doesn't look like it. The foliage in this picture is bright green, whereas my plant is light silvery-green. Thanks for the help and the link!

Thanks Solveig
Yeah, that does bear more resemblance to my plant. Although I think the leaves of this Artemisia stelleriana are larger, both in size and thickness than my plant. I think I've seen plants like the stelleriana (might have been the same kind, I don't know) at nursuries. There are some similarities, but the leaves are not the same. Similar, though. I did ask a lady at one nursury, and she thought it was a native variety of artemisia, or a member of the sage family. I guess we'll just grow it and see what happens!
