Help with "Mystery" Plant Name Please..

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me with a plant name if at all possible. This year we dug out our front garden and planted all new plants but this one did not come with a tag. I had NO idea that we even picked such a gorgeous plant. I was hoping for all low maintenance ground cover types of plants (sedums mostly) so this one is a total surprise.

The pictures below were taken on August 23rd and as of this morning it now stands over 3 feet high and has the most gorgous flowers on it with very vibrant green leaves. We will definitely be moving it next year as it's in the wrong spot. A couple of others as well turned into something totally unexpected but at least we have names for those.

It looks like a mallow (Malva spp.) to me. They grow quickly and can be nice (some varieties are invasive). The bees around here absolutely love mallows, when the plants are permitted to flower!

I'm sure others will post tomorrow or subsequently to confirm or dispute my suggested identification.

Thank you for the name. I did some checking and it does look like it's a weed here in Ontario. Very bizarre as I bought it at a nursery. What is even more strange is that there is a different plant at the base. I am wondering if maybe this is a weed inside of an actual plant.

I will try to get some pictures this weekend of what the plant underneath it looks like.

I still think it's totally gorgeous. Sooooo many beautiful flowers are on it.

It is a Malva "zebrina". I had some growing in my garden, and it got about 6' tall..
