need help identifying "poppy imitator"

My yard has taken 20 years to evolve: I collect wild seeds from all over Alaska, throw them around indistriminately and see what happens. Is now quite rich with lupin, bluebells, forget-me-nots, daisies, Palmer Flatlands iris, wild Alaskan roses, dogwood ... you get the drift. But sometimes the moose who wander through leave me gifts from neighboring yards. This year, a hairy plant exactly like a poppy came up in two moose "contributions" and I excitedly awaited the bloom. The bud also is hairy and exactly like a poppy. However, the orange-red blossom is a multi-petalled "fringe" with kind of blunt tips arranged "daisy-like" (but they are shorter and thinner than a daisy would be - perhaps only an inch from side-to-side). I can find no poppies with more than 6 petals in my searches. Does anyone know what this might be? Any help would be GREAT. Thank you.

sorry - will have to wait until next year. guess I blew my first inquiry. it snowed and froze and there is nothing left to photograph. thank you for the advice and will use it in the future.
