Waxy african violets

I have two African violets with waxy leaves and curled under, brown tips. Even the new leaves are curled, waxy AND brown. My other eight violets are "normal". The two were not waxy when I bought them, in fact, other specimens grown from these two plants do not have this problem. No sign of bugs. What am I dealing with?
