Which plant is easy to grow for a beginner?

Hello, recently I started gardening, so some of my friends suggested me to start with money plants as they are easy to maintain. I have buy vermicompost also as a manure for it.
So, searched a bit for more, and I got that peace lilies and snake plants are also easy to maintain. Is it good to start growing them indoors?
