Viability of Lima Bean Seeds

Good morning all,
I have a friend who mentioned interest in growing some lima beans in 2021 & I have some left over from 2020. I buy new each year & have my order in now for this current year. My question is, does anyone know the viability of lima bean seeds for how long they may keep & still germinate successfully? My seeds are kept in the tool shed all summer & I bring them in the heated dry garage for the winter.

Variety are Stokes 242 Fordhook.........have been growing them for 30 yrs +.

Thanks!

Seeds are supposed to be kept cool, not warm.
But if you bought those Lima bean seed new in 2020 they will still be good this year. Consider freezing your seed in a sealed jar or plastic bag. They'll remain viable for years.
