Avocado from seed - roots but no stem

Any help is appreciated!

I suspended my avocado seed in water just over a month ago. The seed split open and roots started growing as expected. However, there are now 3 roots, the longest of which is about 15cm - but still no stem peeking from the top of the seed.

Should I be concerned?

Thank you :)

Give it a little more time. Three weeks is not that much. Put the seed near a window.

Thank you, I've put it near the window now, and I'll give it a bit more time.

Yes, they are very slow to get started and the roots do come first before the stem. Once it is growing well, it will grow fast.
