So, my seeds took a long time to start, but they are likely now the healthiest seedlings I have ever had..... here is what I did:
1. I took my ( 2 ) 10 light fixtures and put them on their sides, instead of overhead, with the plants on between them.
2. I put one of those silver medical blankets and draped them over the 2 fixtures. These are like $1.50 in a pharmacy.
3. I made sure the ends are open, to allow air.
4. Next week I will start running a very small fan to toughen them up.... from one side one day, from the other side the next day.
Seriously, these things are growing like crazy..... but not "leggy".....
This all came from my bad back and being too lazy to keep having to adjust the height of the fixtures as the plants get taller. Right now I just have 1/2 the lights on... as the plants get taller I will turn on the second set.
I don't think I will ever go back to the old way.
