I think this year I will be planting more mixes like carrot, radish and even sunflowers! I noticed more companies selling all kinds of blends like in the !Pine Tree catalog that I ordered from! My newest catalog Peaceful Valley out of California not only has blends but a big jump in the amounts of seeds for the money! A example of what I mean is a Rainbow carrot mix of 6 colors at 500 seeds for $2.99 byt for $12.99 you get a whopping 20,938 seeds. I am ordering the big amount and will have some of those seeds to trade!

How about a lettuce mix $2.99 500 seeds and $8.99 for 23,250 seeds! I just looked through Boubtiful Garden Catalog and found plenty of mixes I am ordering like basil mix, Swiss Chard mix, climbing nasturtium mix & even a celery mix. Bountiful is also out of california! What do you think about mixes for good variety and maybe several good out of many instead of working all year and having a bad crop? I think it would be nice to pick a red white and orange carrot out of the same bed!
