Marigold - Saving Seeds

Does anyone know if we are able to save the seeds from Burpee marigolds for the next year? Are they viable?

I just want a couple of plants and I have plenty of seeds.

Yes you can save the seeds and yes they are viable. They are hybrids, so the plants you get from them next year may not be exactly the same, could have different color blooms or markings.

My experience with them is that they tend to have a lower germination rate than most of the other things I start from seed and be a little slow getting started. So plant them early and plant more of them than you need plants.
