Got my new 2013 HPS Shrumway catalog in today!

Wow they have alot of tomatoes and that Wholesale pricing on bulk in the back is great! They have tons of flowers! I am getting ancious to start seeds and actually have many planted for fall crops!

The RH Shrumway I guess owns the company since their name comes with it It a division of RH Shrumway!.

The company was mentioned as being in operation in the June 15, 1952 Rockford Morning Star. At some point, the company ceased operating.

When the company name was eventually purchased, along with several other recognizable company names by an enterprising marketer in the 1980s, no seed line existed and seed savers were solicited for specimens.

Eventually, control of the R. H. Shumway Seed Company name (along with Seymour's Select Seeds, Totally Tomatoes, Vermont Bean Seed Company, and HPS) was sold to the J. W. Jung Seed Company.
