My cucumber seedlings were doing great. Then I noticed they started to weep and then they dried up. They stayed green they never changed color. They had moisture, I just don't know what happened!
They are in newspaper pots in my window... could they have gotten too much direct sun?? Help

Perhaps so . . . could just have been too hot.
weep = wilt?
Plastic pots shield the potting soil from drying and too much heat. Cucumbers, squash, melons . . . these plants can only tolerate a pot for a few days. Many gardeners just refuse to do other than direct-sowing in the garden. It is difficult to get more than a tiny jump on the season. Also, it is difficult to get the plants out there without serious transplanting shock.
