Snapdragon seeds

Hello, I just started my first garden from scratch. I planted plenty of snapdragon seeds. How long until I will see them come up and flower? I was also looking for a pretty boarder for my garden. (It is small, about 7 feet x 4 feet) I don't want a flower that will take over. I like these marigolds [url]https://www.whitepostfarms.net/marigolds/[/url] but I am not sure about the color. Do they come in white? My color scheme is basically every color the snapdragons come in plus I have planted pink and red gladiolus bulbs which have already peeked through the soil. Opinions/suggestions?

1 more question... I also came across a small area with what looks like small grubs...will these kill my plants? a solution?

usually 7-10 days for the snaps to appear..there is a white marigold or basically a cream colored one sold from seed by either Burpee or Parks, sorry cant remember which supplier.. not sure what the grub is your talking about although the one I am thinking of usually attacks the roots of grass..try a search on the internet for a pic of the grub you are seeing..I have used alyssum for a border flower over the years and they come in several colors and they will reseed.. the taller the flower, more to the back of the bed it should be planted as I hope that is where you put the glads? I now use many perrenials to cut down on the intensive labor and cost of replanting each year and you might want to look into those also..plant what makes you happy!

Thanks for the response. I found a grub and insect killer that is safe for flowers, eco friendly and pet safe. I hope this gets the job done. As far as the glads- yes they are along the back of my garden. I am expecting them to grow about 35 inches or so. Most of the bulbs are growing nicely at his point but still no luck with the snapdragons. If the soil was not fertile enough then I would imagine I'd have difficulty growing everything in my garden. we did experience a cold spell in New York the past two weeks unfortunately. I'm thinking this is mainly what is effecting my snapdragons. I am going to look into the cream/white marigold you mentioned. It would compliment my garden nicely.
