Seedlings going outside

We've had several days 60+ and I am putting the small seed trays (10 peat pellets) out to play. I limit direct sun. A few have even spent the night out. This is against the house, under deep eaves, so sheltered. In no time their color improves as well as looking healthier/stronger. Even outside on a grey day has better light than inside.

I absolutely agree! For my plants, the CFs give supplemental light as plants go outside every day that the temperatures get above 50 degrees. Fifty to 60 degrees they are in a cold frame and warmer they get direct sunlight and breeze. Getting time in the natural sunlight and air makes for darker green, thicker stemmed, more hardy plants. When it is time to plant, my plants generally show no signs of transplant shock or of even slowing down.
