Favorite seed catalog websites?

I usually buy at lowes/home depot but have seen so many seed websites. I liked one and added several to my cart but the shipping was outrageous!
Any favorites out there?

I just put in my seed order to Jung seeds. I looked at several seed catalogs, but Jungs had the most of all the different flower, herbs, and veggie seeds I wanted (I don't want to have to order from several different places). And FREE shipping for orders over $75, so my order was just over that (including one plant, all the rest seeds).

Jennifer, it depends a lot on what kind of garden you intend to have this year.

I just wrote about a whole bunch of seed companies then realized I should have stopped with that 1st sentence. (Saved what I wrote on a yellow sticky & I can post it later ;) .)

What do you want to grow and how large is your garden?? When you were looking thru the online source, what had the most interest to you? It's a wonderful garden seed world out there -- what makes you happy?

As Steve mentioned what you want to grow is important.
Flowers, veggies, fruit, trees/shrubs etc, etc. Some are general across the board, some are specific.

If you let us know, I am sure the esteemed HG team can provide plenty of suggestons.

Here is one that has most categories under a general coverage: https://www.botanicalinterests.com/

Not sure of their shippings rate, but I get much of their inventory locally. They have a home gardener in mind , so you can easily test the waters with vast options at starter prices, much like the big box store seed packets. I am not associated w/ them , but have enjoyed what they offer.

Oh, and they are listed as a NON Monsanto (SAFE) provided by our own Eric- DoubledogFarm !! https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=235238#235238

Good luck

I have a 12x4 raised garden with trellis in my backyard along with a ton of large containers, even the big ones trees come in. Small scale for some of you I know. I'm only fruits/veggies/herbs. I've already ordered some seed potatoes and a few sprouting I got at organic store. I love to cook so all peppers, herbs, onions, etc are a must. I have 4 peppers plants that I got sprouted inside under a lamp.
ANY advice would be welcomed. This will be my 3rd season gardening but 2nd with the raised bed.

If you have a small garden but want lots of variety in it - Pinetree has small packets and low prices: superseeds.com

Johnny's has a very nice website, great catalog, lots of greens . . . well, that's what I notice :D . johnnyseeds.com

Jung's has a broad selection and a number of catalogs to tap. You can find & order from all (except their HSP catalog) at egardenersplace.com.

I hope that helps . . .

Steve :)

I got a few bookmarked sites. But I only ordered from tradewindsfruitstore.com. I ordered twice from them, they usually give free shipping on orders of $10 or more. They got a good selection of stuff.

We've used Baker Creek for several years now and really like them! In fact I'm hoping to get our seeds ordered this week. :)
