when to collect and sow Grannys bonnet seeds

is their a specific time to collect and plant seeds from granny's bonnets, there's loads of them in my garden and at the start of this year I scattered last years seeds all over the garden and now there's a lot more new bonnets all over

just wondering if I can collect them all again when they've finished this year and also plant them this year, maybe in pots or just scattering them again, rather than having to keep them until the start of next year

thanks

When the stalks are dry and they start dropping their own seeds, you can collect them and toss them wherever you want them to grow next year. I've never tried them in pots, but it's worth a try. They produce so many seeds, it's not like it will hurt if some of them don't sprout.
