I'm Off To The Farmers Market

This will be our last indoor market, then we move outside April 23rd. I hope the weather improves :(

If the Farmers Market Assoc. allows it I will be selling more trellises, plant stands etc...

Good luck Eric! Keep us posted on how things go. I don't have a FM, per se, to sell at but I do intend to set up a stand a couple of days a week. I've got hundreds of plants growing, including 600 onions and 1200 peas I want to get out as soon as my garden gets tilled (too big and hard for me to do this year and the guy who I agreed to pay to do it doesn't seem to be in a hurry).

Onions, Chard, Peas, Lettuce (Romaine), Tomatoes, Peppers, Sweet Potatoes, Watermelons, Cantaloupes, Broccoli, Green Beans, Carrots, Zucchini, Squash.

Also planting strawberries, blackberries, grapes, cherry trees, apple trees, and a peach and apricot tree. They won't bear fruit until at least next year (the berries) or 2013.

Looking great! Thanks for sharing.

I am looking to do info cards on the herbs, also a hand-out sheet.
I had some cards made for my natural dye demo (couldn't use laminated -18th c!), and they were wonderful for lookers and me!

Hope you come home with an empty truck. Easier to carry an envelope of $ than a mess of plants...

Perhaps we need that forum for sharing selling ideas? Mods?!

I second that! Garden Web has a section and I have picked up a wealth of info.

Eric have you seen those "Bottle Trees"? I'm seeing them in almost every garden decoration related catalogs. I bet you could make them.

Does anyone have one? Do they work well? I have kids that throw stuff and neighbors kids overthrow balls and frisbees so I wouldn't get one, but they do look kind of nice....

Bottle Trees are interesting, not really my taste. If someone wanted to hire me to weld up, it would be hard to turn it down. $$$

I want to grow Money Trees but cannot find any seeds! I would dedicate a chunk of ground to them!

I bet you would get really good at pruning also. Create a more prosperous tree. :D

Thank you,

It's a little hard to see in the picture. On each side is a scroll and below a heart. When I finish the next one, I'll post a better picture.
