Seed starting help?

I started various veggie seeds about two weeks ago. I left them out side thinking that seems how the weather wasnt below 35ish and it was sunny they would be ok. Well they havent even started popping up! I'm afraid they wont grow now. I moved them inside on a sunny windowsil.
Do you think they'll grow still or did I ruin my chances? :?

good advice from Mg. Also seeds need to stay moist all the time. Not wet which will cause them to rot, but never drying out. It is a lot more difficult outdoors with breezes etc to be sure they never dry out.
