A start on a "Starter House"

Not sure you can call what I have a greenhouse, nor can you call it complete, but maybe it is more like a starter house. Heretofore, I have started seed under grow lamps in my den, transferred to five inch peat, and then move them in and out, in and out, based on whether the night temps were getting too low or not. It has worked but I wanted to avoid the "in and out" process, and perhaps go from start to ready for garden in the starter house.

Various things have prevented its completion but I at least have it semi-operational for now. Also, DoubleDog posted some great pictures of some items thriving in the greenhouse,, so I made some of the area into garden boxes to hopefully take advantage of some early veggies.

Here's the start on my "Starter House"

Wow! That looks really good. My greenhouse is more of a propagation house also.

Are those legs and frames for benches?

I tried to set it up so I could have a moveable top to create a work bench, pot holder bench whereever I wanted, AND be able to move the top and plant something underneath. I put 6-8 inches of rich soil in them for now, and can add another layer next year, or whenever I want new soil in the boxes. My wife keep asking me "Do you know what you are doing?'' ANSWER: "No, but I am enjoying it"

Way nice! I am almost sold on taking down my greenhouse project and starting over with a better plan. I think I am sure now, looking at yours.

Very nice work!!

No, it is attached to the side of my tractor shed, which is also still in progress. I dried in the tractor shed with roofing felt and then got to work on the green house. First things first.

During the weekend I ran PVC pipe from my well pump....Will run a propane gas line at some point, but this year will just get by with some electric heaters (OUCH.....Ala Power will love me).
