Hydroponic Seedlings

I enjoy gardening year round and this year I wanted to combine both my indoor and outdoor gardens by starting my tomato and peppers indoors hydroponically. There are several methods of hydroponics and the method I'm useing here is called flood/drain (Ebb & Flow) which allows the plants to develop air roots making the transition to outside possible.

Seeds were planted on Feb. 14 which gives me about 8 weeks before the weather breaks enough here in Western Ky. to be transplanted outside. It's been 6 days and a few of the tomatos are up.

Looks good hydroguy.

I have questions. :)

How long do the seedling sit in the water / nutrient solution?

Are you using a pump with a timer?

Are there any nutrients in the rock wool?

Are you heating the water?

I probably could just go over to the hydroponic forum for some these answer.

Are there any nutrients in the rock wool? none and none at this point in the water.
